Abstract: The use of traditional chinese medicine has a long history in the course of humanity, especially among the Chinese. Considered an integral part of our Asian culture, it has surprisingly, a relatively high demand in Singapore as indicated by studies. No doubt, traditional chinese medicine has a unique role to contribute as an extra form of medicial treatment and maintenance of health next to Western medical science. This study looks into a general overview of TCM, particularly herbal medicine and acupuncture, and the spin off of TCM regulations in Singapore.
