Abstract: This study explores the viability of assessing and measuring quality level in Singapore companies. Specifically, it analyses the issue of quantifying an overall level of quality performance of Singapore companies. A mathematical model, the ‘quality index’, is formulated based on data provided by Singapore Productivity and Standards Board (PSB). The data used comes from a modified/disguised database associated with the Quality Assessment Exercise (QAE).
