Abstract: This research was carried out with the aim of identifying the major influences of the crisis on the airlines in the Asia-Pacific region, and giving recommendations to tackle and avoid these problems. Case studies were conducted on 13 different carriers (including the benchmark carrier, British Airways) to achieve the said objective. The study covered a period of 5 years from 1994 to 1998 using the most up-to-date information available.
