Abstract

The purpose of our study is to find out whether an increase in banking transparency would lead to an increase in investor confidence. Our study is important because banking is a special economic activity whose soundness has repercussions on the entire economy. In addition, the Asian economic crisis has affected the confidence of investors adversely.
