Abstract: This study commences with an overview of the education system in Singapore which is moving towards a system of decentralizing school management. In view of the financial concern, the study reviews the adequacy and effectiveness of the various schemes presently available to alleviate or meet the rising education costs. The attempt to study the effectiveness of education insurance policy was carried out via a survey of the working parents with child/children less than 15 years of age.
