Abstract: This paper investigates the relationship between Chinese government of shares and two corporate policies: financing and dividend policies. Additionally, the relationship between the investment opportunity set(IOS) and these policies is examined. Results show that government ownership is insignificant while several IOS measures are significant in explaining the policies.
