Abstract: The study seeks to examine the economic causes and effects of a major policy-issue in Singapore, namely rising cost in the specific micro-area of healthcare. We explore the extent of the rising healthcare cost and the causes and also researched on the current payment methods and ways of containing the cost. This gives us the opportunity to draw original policy inferences and make recommendations.
