Abstract: This project documents the rise of the opposition against Singlish and examines the efforts of the Speak Good English Movement (SGEM) and their effectiveness in curbing this disturbing trend. We also analyze the reactions of NTU undergrads to Singlish; whether they can distinguish Good English from Bad English and more interestingly, their attitudes towards Singlish.
