dc.description.abstractOriginally, the topic I had in mind for the project was hermaphrodites, intersex individuals born with ambiguous genitals. This interest actu-ally stemmed from a science and gender class I had taken while on exchange in the US. Some of the prescribed readings say how they navigate their lives with a perpetual ambiguous gender identity, something I found fascinating.en_US
