Title: | Songs of the angels. | Authors: | Teo, Elizabeth Wei E. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Social sciences::Mass media::Broadcasting::Motion pictures and films::Production management | Issue Date: | 2007 | Abstract: | Includes Appendices: 1 report. Seventeen years ago, Joe gave up everything to chase his dream: song-writing. He turned against his father's wishes, dropped out of school and even left home, in pursuit of a career in the music industry. However, just as he reaches the peak of his career, the world comes crashing down on him: His father passes away from cancer. Blaming himself for not being there for his father during his illness, Joe loses all inspiration to write. Without a job and delayed in rent, he eventually moves back to his father's old one-room flat in Bukit Merah. In despair, Joe leaves behind his song-writing days to take after his father and become a construction worker. Reeling from guilt, Joe is determined to close his heart to everyone around him. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/1176 | Schools: | Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
