Load transfer characteristics of hybrid precast beams

Abstract

This research has been conducted to understand the load transfer characteristics of the individual hybrid-precast beams with embedded inverted Tee sections. A series of simply supported hybrid-precast beams with embedded inverted-T steel sections were tested. Based on the experimental observations, a description of how loads are transferred from loading points to the supports at protruding steel sections is presented.
