Abstract: In this study, a series of one-dimensional incremental loading (IL) consolidation tests, falling-head permeability tests, constant-rate-strain (CRS) consolidation tests, laboratory miniature vane shear, pressure plate and salt solution tests were conducted to investigate the engineering properties of the younger peaty soil samples collected from four different sites in Singapore.
