Title: | Triaxial behaviour of concrete under monotonic loading | Authors: | Sun, Xin. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Civil engineering::Structures and design | Issue Date: | 1999 | Abstract: | This research is to study the triaxial behaviour of concrete under monotonic loading. Attention is paid on the effects of stress path on the strength properties and deformational behaviour of concrete under triaxial compressive stress. It is the different stress path that causes the significant differences of compressive strength and deformational behaviour between active and passive confinement. Experimental programme was designed to study the failure envelopes and stress-strain relationships for concrete under active confinement as well as under passive confinement. Various stress paths were designed in the tests for concrete under passive confinement by varying the stiffness of confinement. Three grades of concrete with uniaxial strength varying from 27.2 to 77.46 MPa were included in the experimental programme. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/13083 | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
