Abstract: This thesis describes the design of transcutaneous energy transmission (TET) system for artificial heart. Our study mainly focuses on the design of transcutaneous transformer and TET converter. Basic concepts of robust controller design and motor drive modeling for the centrifugal blood pump type of artificial heart are also discussed.
