Title: | Perceptually based hybrid AMBTC video coding with motion compensation | Authors: | Huang, Lei. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computing methodologies::Image processing and computer vision DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Data::Coding and information theory |
Issue Date: | 1998 | Abstract: | Digital video has many advantages over its analog counterpart. For effective storage and/or delivery, digital video data is required to be compressed by removing its spatial, spectral, psychovisual and temporal redundancies. For this objective, a new perceptually based hybrid video compression methodology, based on absolute moment block truncation coding (AMBTC) quantizer with motion estimation and motion compensation, is developed in this thesis. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/13183 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
