Abstract: This case study is based on a project to connect a mid-size network of approximately 400 nodes to the Internet and protect it with firewall. The network is connected to the Internet with access bandwidth of 256 Kbits/sec. The security of the network is provided by the use of firewall at the Internet access point. The firewall used is Firewall-1 for Windows NT from Checkpoint, running on an Intel Pentium II based PC server.
