Title: | Distributed multicasting algorithm for real time multimedia traffic | Authors: | Quan, Huo Sheng. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computer systems organization::Computer-communication networks DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Computer hardware, software and systems |
Issue Date: | 1999 | Abstract: | In the past, very few network applications involved multiple users and none of them had QoS (Quality and Service) requirements. New generation of high-speed network has enabled multimedia applications such as video conferencing and distributed real-time interactive communications. The simple multicast routing algorithms that were originally designed for best-effort networks are not suitable for networks supporting real-time applications. Multicast routing algorithms have been an area of intensive research for the past couple of years. In order to route data packets efficiently on a network, several multicast routing algorithms have been proposed and implemented. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/13334 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
