dc.description.abstractIn this project, the active vibration control of flexible structures using piezoelectric materials is studied. Finite element analysis and experimental investigations of flexible structures with surface bonded piezoelectric sensors and actuators for active vibration control are carried out. The effectiveness of the piezoelectric elements and different feedback control schemes in altering the system characteristics and system response of the host structure are investigated.en_US
