Image registration in an augmented reality system

Abstract

This report discusses the implementation of an image registration method in augmented reality' for medical application. It also discusses some practical considerations and difficulties when such a system is used in medical therapy. The resulting system is called the Augmented Reality for Therapy (ART) system. The design and fabrication of a Passive Assisting Tool for SurgerY (PATSY) to complement the ART system is also discussed.
