|Title:||Preparation and structure/property relationships in polythiophene and related polymers||Authors:||Liu, Hongmei.||Keywords:||DRNTU::Engineering::Materials::Organic/Polymer electronics||Issue Date:||1999||Abstract:||Polythiophene (PTh) and a series of conjugated poly(3-alkylthiophene)s (P3ATs), including poly(3-methylthiophene) (P3MT), poly(3-butylthiophene) (P3BT), poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT), poly(3-octylthiophene) (P30T) and poly(3-decylthiophene) (P3DT) were prepared via chemical oxidative polymerization. Except PTh and P3MT, the as-synthesised polymers exhibit both solution and melting processability. Chemical and physical properties of the polymers were characterized by using structural, spectroscopic and thermal analysis.
