Abstract: This report summarizes the process of developing an Android application using the Java programming language on Android Studio. This project aims to design and develop an application (app) for people in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to locate the most convenient places to eat in the vicinity of the campus based on their current location and preferences which they can input on the app. Additionally, the app will also have a randomizer to help indecisive students select a place to eat based on their preferences. This will not only help them to save the time on deciding what to eat, but it will also provide students with the opportunity to explore other food options around NTU and possibly make their meal times more interesting. The report starts with my objectives of my application followed by the market research conducted. This is followed up with the software application analysis and then the project planning and project development processes. Lastly, the report concludes by sharing the challenges faced and potential future improvements.
