dc.description.abstractThe Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in CERN, Geneva, conducted Run I from 2009 to 2013 and then stopped its operations from 2013 to 2015 to perform detector upgrades. In 2015, the LHC resumed its operation with LHC Run II. With higher luminosity in Run II, the Run II data are expected to give new insight on the prospects of new physics searches. In this study, we perform a likelihood analysis on the Constrained Minimally Supersymmetric Standard Model (CMSSM) using the latest experimental data from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and other experiments around the world. Some examples of these experiments include LUX and PandaX. Using the MasterCode framework, we found the preferred regions in the CMSSM parameter space. The study uncovered the dominant dark matter mechanisms in these preferred regions that are responsible for bringing the dark matter relic density close to its observed value. We compare the results of the CMSSM likelihood analysis with and without the LHC Run II results and found that the inclusion of the new data excludes part of the stau coannihilation region found in the low mass part of the CMSSM parameter space. Our analysis has shown that the predicted sensitivities of the LUX-Zeplin and XENONnT experiments will be able to access some preferred regions in the CMSSM parameter space.en_US
