Story of Yanxi Palace is a historical romancedrama series that had a high viewership worldwide and was crowned the world’s most Googled TV show in 2018. The thememainly focused on heroines and had sparked a surge of comparisons amongst the different Qing Dynasty dramas. This doesnot only remind me of the rising trend of feminism in recent years but has also inspired me to study the postmodern feminism in the Story of Yanxi Palace.Hence, in this report, Yanxi Palace will becompared with other popular Qing Dynasty dramas, such as My Fair Princess and Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace. This objective of thisreport revolves around the study of the so-called “Evil woman” in postmodern feminism in the Story of Yanxi Palace. This report will first define postmodern feminism, followed by the so-called “Evil woman”. This so-called “Evil woman” is differentfromthose villainous women who do nefarious activities.Instead, they are labelled as “Evil woman”because they do not conform to the stereotypical image set and defined by men since ancient times. With the definition of “Evil woman”, it will be used to analyse how the female leads Wei Yingluo and the Empress Fucha Rongyinin TheStory of Yanxi Palace fits the definition. Also, this report will use the concept of a desire to further depictthe definitionof “Evil women”in Yanxi Palace. This report will conclude by comparing the postmodern feminism portrayed in the Story of Yanxi Palace with My Fair Princess and Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace, proving that postmodern feminism was much more elaborated and profound in the Story of Yanxi Palace than the others.Keyword: Story of Yanxi Palace, Postmodern Feminism, Evil Woman, My Fair Princess, Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace.
