Abstract: This project aims to modernise an existing software that was developed for simulating Quantum Well Infrared Photodetectors (QWIPs). To meet the aim of modernising and ensuring developmental support in the future, the entire software was rewritten in a modern programming language, features were added, database made efficient and intuitiveness improved. A proper installer was added, and a user guide was developed for commercial roll out in the future. An installation wizard development guide was also put together to ensure that future developers can implement an installation wizard into the software.
