Abstract: A high-resolution dual-microring based silicon photonic sensor is demonstrated with an electronic integrated circuit. For refractive index sensing in sodium chloride solution, a high sensitivity of 0.153 RIU/W and a detection limit of 0.34 μRIU are achieved.
