Title: | Development of perovskite-based light emitting diodes with improved stability (1.0) | Authors: | Izah Illaishah Sahlan | Keywords: | Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering | Issue Date: | 2020 | Publisher: | Nanyang Technological University | Project: | A2240-191 | Abstract: | Perovskite Quantum Dots (PQDs) have been the talk of industries over the past couple of years, especially in the field of optics and photovoltaics. PQDs carry a wide range of intriguing optoelectronic properties such as a higher energy efficiency and improved electroluminescence compared to the conventional LEDs. However, PQDs face a major hurdle in its advancements, which is due to its instability. Hence, the stability of the perovskites will be the main topic in this report, where experiments on improving its stability will be carried out through synthesis methods. During the synthesis of the perovskite nanocrystals, oleylamine (OLA) will be replaced with (3-Aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES) and used as a form of coating ligand to improve the stability of the perovskites. This report explains the synthesis methods as well as the results achieved throughout this experiment in improving the stability of the quantum dots, allowing PQDs to emerge in the world of optoelectronics. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/139622 | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
