There are a lot of car park android applications available on google store, however most of them provide the services such as user to find the nearby HDB car park in the list view which is not very user friendly. The purpose of this project is to develop a GPS enabled android mobile application that will assist users to find an available parking space within a HDB residential town. The mobile application also has multiple functions such as displaying the current location of the user with nearby HDB car park information in Map View, search function by residential town, and search function by carpark name to look for real-time total carpark lots and available empty lot. This project utilizes the PyCharm IDE for the development of the application for android phone users. The project was coded in Python and Kivy languages and uses a local database within the application. Local database file was developed using DB Browser for SQLite. In this report, the author will discuss what he has done as well as the results of the project.
