Abstract: There are currently no good and customized tools to manage projects such as the Design and Innovation Project (DIP) and Final Year Project (FYP). A DIP and FYP management tool would require features such as a customized calendar suited to the weeks of the academic calendar while also being able to allocate tasks which students can upload their response to. With these requirements in mind, the objective of this project is to create a customized web application to facilitate the tracking of DIP and FYP progression. In this customized web application, there should be a calendar reflective of the academic calendar, and users should be able to appoint new tasks. These tasks can then be completed by the appointed students. To accomplish this, we have developed a web-based application using Django for backend and ReactJS for frontend. This application allows users to schedule tasks and meetings on an online web-based platform. Students can now submit their tasks through the website and their professor will be able to view and comment on the said tasks in real-time. The website created in this project is customized to the university academic calendar and the needs of a project management system of the university.
