Title: | 解 /jiě/ | Authors: | Hiew, Jin Yee | Keywords: | Visual arts and music::Media | Issue Date: | 2020 | Publisher: | Nanyang Technological University | Abstract: | What is a dream? A dream is a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep. Dreams are special because they come in different shapes, sizes, forms and feels - realistic, yet unreal. Everyone dreams, but not everyone remembers their dreams. “解 /jiě/” is an interactive installation that invites the audience to explore the idea of dreams and allows the audience to exercise creativity in the interpretation of my various dreams. This installation explores the use of shadows, where shadows are everything yet nothing at the same time. By using shadow as a medium of expression, audiences will therefore be encouraged to fill in the void with their creative imagination and immerse themselves in the created dream world. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/140522 | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
