Title: | Interactive film (B) | Authors: | Lim, Jia Hui | Keywords: | Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering | Issue Date: | 2020 | Publisher: | Nanyang Technological University | Project: | B3297-191 | Abstract: | The importance of an interactive film is to ensure that viewers are able to concentrate on the story while being kept engaged by using interactions that allow them to choose their storyline. The project consists of the development of an engaging narrative multi-threaded structure, acquisition of compelling footage and exploration of the best method to link the individual sequences for audience interactions. It dives deep into the development of the interactive film process where different types of interactions like button clicking, Kinect, Leap Motion, Webcam and audio interactions using Unity3D were evaluated. They were studied on the feasibility of the interactions available for the viewers, as well as whether they were able to keep the viewers engaged in an interactive film. The interaction used in this project is achieved by using Unity 3D’s in-built speech recognition and the measurement of microphone decibels during the game. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/140542 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
