Abstract: With digital technology becoming more and more advanced, Blockchain has gained a lot of momentum as a shared, immutable ledger for recording chain of transaction history. Blockchain is a secure distributed database and allows transactions to take place in a decentralized manner. It is a whole new form of transactional application that establishes trust, accountability and transparency. This final year report presents an overview of Blockchain technology. I will be giving an overview on how Blockchain works and the different type of benefits it can provide. However, even though Blockchain has various benefits, it comes along with its own limitations and challenges as well. This report will also look into what kind of industries Blockchain technology can be implemented into and the impact that it will have on them.
