Abstract: In the early 20th century, the transition to adulthood was a predictable and traditional path for many. However, in the last few decades, this transition has been transforming and becoming less predictable and varied. As new pathways emerge and young people face numerous possibilities, they are faced with struggles and uncertainties. Having grown up under the safe shelter of our parents and their guidance, a dynamic switch from being taken care of to supporting oneself can be stressful for many. Hence, this project seeks to explore the dynamics of becoming an independent adult and to remind emerging adults that they are not alone in their transitional phase. Also, through the use of satirical commentary, this project aims to ultimately lead young emerging adults to realise that support from their parents is necessary and acceptable as they transition and settle into adulthood.
