Abstract: Our game is a 3D game featuring adventure, resource gathering and tower defence. The main target audience are casual players and the target platform is PC. The player has to explore the map and discover new biomes. While exploring, the player gets to discover new monster allies to help him/her in battle. Each island is separated by a bridge that the player has to build in order to proceed onto the next biome. However, this is where the enemies (the humans) will come after the player. The player has to build his monster allies on the map in order to stop the humans from reaching him/her. The player can also explore and roam around the map to gather resources such as wood from chopping the trees and collecting mana from the mana collector. These resources will make the monster allies stronger as the difficulty of each battle will also increase as the game progresses. There are also animals on the island that help the player collect his/her resources, automating the resource collecting process. In this project, we tried merging two genres into the game – idle game and tower defence. The resource gathering forms the idling part while the battles form the tower defence. We are also moving away from the typical ‘heroes destroy the monsters’. Instead, the hero in our story is a monster that is trying to defend monster Island from the humans.
