Abstract: A fast-responding bidirectional actuator prototype is developed using magnetics gears to transmit torque between an input shaft and bidirectional output gears without mechanical contacts. This allows the prototype to achieve 2 outputs with different directions from a single input based on the position of the magnetic gears. The objective of this project is to prove the working principle of the device. As the prototype that was done previously was unable to achieve the target objective. This report describes the research, design, and fabrication of the fast-responding bidirectional actuator prototype.
