Title: | Develop LEGO block for droplet manipulation | Authors: | Tan, Miken | Keywords: | Engineering::Mechanical engineering | Issue Date: | 2020 | Publisher: | Nanyang Technological University | Project: | A013 | Abstract: | This project aims to develop the LEGO block used in the open surface droplet manipulation process. The LEGO block part is inspired by the famous toy Lego. These Lego-like parts are designed so that they can attach and detach at will to improve the versatility of the system. The designed part will be 3-D printed and a series of study on the magnetic force on varies variable such as number of permanent magnet used and different size of droplet and magnetic particle used will be conducted in order to design the most suitable LEGO part for the droplet manipulation. The setup and design of the of test and experiment will be included in this report. Besides that, the challenges, limitation, possible future improvement on the test will also be discussed in this report. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/141411 | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
