Abstract: Wheelchairs having mobility problem to move from one level to another level in MRT station and the only way to move is through the elevator. However, if the elevator happened to suffer a breakdown the wheelchair user is stranded. The goal of this project is to design a special chair that can carry the person to another level using the escalator. When the chair is going up or down the escalator, it will be able to maintain upright position. The design and built of this version of the wheelchair will be development. The necessary engineering analysis of the design will be provided.
