Urban heat island effect (UHI) is developed along with the rapid urbanization and increase in urban population. Natural ventilation is an ideal idea to improve the airflow both within and outside the buildings and lowering the temperature. It is considered as one of the UHI mitigation measures to improve the UHI level and reduce energy consumption by preventing excessive usage of air-conditioning. Several studies showed that the street canyon profile is one of the important factors affect the airflow and temperature of the region. In this study, street trees located at Jurong Industrial estate are modelled as a porous medium and the influence of street tree on the wind flow around the buildings are simulated.en_US
