Title: Changing tides : an IPE approach to US-Vietnam normalised relations.
Authors: Ng, Sue Chia.
Keywords: DRNTU::Social sciences::Political science
Issue Date: 2006
Abstract: Ties between the United States and Vietnam have definitely seen a shift from that of wartime antagonists to current socio-economic partners since the process of normalisation took pace more than a decade ago. With the second Indochina Conflict as a backdrop, this dissertation aims to understand why and how was it possible for 'ex-enemies' to start afresh and re-build ties on cooperative terms. What could have accounted for the change in their relational orientations and why would it be in both their interests to normalise ties?
