Title: Language of dissent: globalisation, resistance, labour.

Issue Date: 2003
Abstract: The language of dissent is labour’s language of resistance to the neoliberal project of economic globalisation. In asking the central question of whether labour can succeed in resisting globalisation, the dissertation argues that it is possible. However, this optimism is framed with conditions. The reason for this is that labour is encountering crises from within. These crises must be tackled with before labour can be successful in mounting any credible challenge to the forces of globalisation.
