Title: | From nursery rhymes to negotiation : peace promotion through youth diplomacy. | Authors: | Leah Ann Davis. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Social sciences | Issue Date: | 2006 | Abstract: | This paper sought to examine the viability of youth programmes in the promoting of peace, and more specifically, what types of programmes foster the most tangible results. Through the theoretical perspectives of institutions, cooperative security and unofficial diplomacy, the programmes were found to be of some relevance to international relations and peace promotion. The programmes were analyzed in three parts, skill acquisition, initiative and tangible applications. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/14487 | Schools: | S.
