Abstract: Dementia is an ailment that leads to the deterioration in mental capabilities of a person. It is a brain disease causing disturbances to motor, sensory and visual functions such as memory, judgement, comprehension, and calculation. As life expectancy increases throughout countries, dementia is a growing concern for public health in Singapore. Taking care of a person suffering from dementia is no easy feat. The PEAR mobile application aids profession caregivers in care centres in collecting patients’ personal particulars to perform personalised custodial care. The objectives of this project are to repair the existing application, implement features not yet materialised and to identify possible improvements to the project. Throughout this project, improvements in the user experience is conducted through reviewing best practices and guidelines in User Interface and User Experience, and further enhance the capability and robustness of the application.
