This article compares the lesbian movies directed by male director and female director, discussing how female directors deconstruction androcentrism with female eroticism, and how lesbians are restricted by social norms. This article will also take Leslie Cheung as a case study to observe how a celebrity affects the cultural representation of homosexual in Hong Kong, as well as the restrictions on gay movements promoted by celebrities.
