Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/147985 | Abstract: | The increase in technology and mundane day-to-day task is causing people to adopt bad postural habits which will have ill-intended effects in the future and are mainly caused by poor postural awareness. Poor postural awareness can be stemmed from being pre-occupied by activities with little mobility such as a desk job or watching television and bad ergonomics. Using a mobile phone and sensors, information about the state of the user’s posture can be derived and feedback can be generated when bad posture is detected. With the aid of the application, users can improve their postural awareness and prevent postural ailments from occurring in the future. The purpose of this project is to allow users to improve their quality of life in the long run and reduce the probability of visits to physiotherapists in the future using sensors and an Android application. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/147985 | Schools: | School of Computer Science and Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
