Crowding has always been affecting customers’ satisfaction value during shopping. Most of the shops are using traditional ways to control the crowd flow which lead to extra manpower and budget. The project aims to build a low-cost IoT gate sensor to assist with manpower and budget issues as well as promoting customers’ satisfaction that lead to sales improvement. Even though an IoT device is cheap, it has to rely on a centralized server and network to exchange information between IoT nodes. In the long run, the maintenance fee in sustaining a centralized server will be far more expensive than the IoT device itself. Not all companies are able to afford it especially for small retail shops. Blockchain network is a distributed and decentralized public ledger that allows data to store and exchange securely without a centralized server. Therefore, by incorporating blockchain in the IoT devices, it helps the project to reach its aim closer and also solve extra manpower and budget issues.en_US
