Abstract: Internet of Things (IOT) is the incorporation of internet connectivity into everyday objects, allowing them to send and receive data. With the rise in popularity of IOT, it is rather common for newer households to have home automation devices in them, such as smart lights or switches. This leaves a gap between the newer and the older households. While the older households can easily upgrade and do an overhaul to include IOT devices, it is often costly and troublesome. The aim of this project is to design and implement a smart home system to bridge the gap between the new and older households.
