Abstract: Self-reflection is an important way to process one’s thoughts and emotions. Through journal and diary writing, individuals can grow over time and record down precious moments in life. However, we are often too busy to set aside some time to write down our reflections every day. “Day by Day” is a mobile application that hopes to cultivate journal writing habits through the convenient and quick way of recording thoughts and daily activities. It is a personalised platform for uploading photos and texts in a condensed form of an app. Users can also view older posts by date or find specific posts by the title of post. Developed for both Android and iOS on Flutter, the app uses Firebase as its authentication, database and storage backend service.
