Abstract: The purpose of implementing Self-Excited Induction Generator (SEIG) is that it can be installed in an isolated or remote area without the need for grid supply, utilizing solely from the renewable energy resources for example windmill as prime mover shown in Fig 1, the conventional way of connecting the induction machine. To ensure grid supply in such areas are not economical as many considerations must be carefully studied, that includes the need of laying overhead power lines or underground cabling works, building a substation, maintenance of substations.
