Abstract: The concept of a flexible manufacturing system(FMS) was invented to promote higher efficiency in 1954. With the rapid changes in demands over the years, manufacturers begin to seek FMS as a solution. Due to the complexity of simulating an FMS, there is a need for easier and more user-friendly software to design an FMS. This report explores the possibility of a Drag and Play system to ease the difficulty of designing an FMS using Python's de-facto standard graphical user interface Tkinter to design and develop. Specifically, the report will detail the system design of the software and its feature provided to the User.
