Abstract: "track n field" is an experimental animation about messy memories of school-level track competitions, trying to untangle between nostalgia and ambivalence, of losing and unaccomplishment and the 95% humidity. With notions of authenticity tied to the efficacy of the (semi)-autobiographical aspect of the animation, this report discusses existing decisions — of illustrative treatment of environment and objects, usage of found materials, compositing and music—that have mutually shaped the sculpting of the film.
