Abstract: This report presents the development of the airduct pressure balancing design system for the engineers’ ease of manually balancing the airduct with the traditional trials and error methods done manually which are time consuming. The balancing system on the other hand, enables the users a simulation that aids them into acquiring the optimal airflow required from the duct. The balancing of the airflow is essential in the quality of sufficient airflow required within the room zoning as this will provide a good and stable flow of air to the occupants in the building. In addition to that, optimising the airflow with this balancing design would in turn have the energy consumption used in efficiently. An algorithm is then developed with the use of the MATLAB software that controls and calculate the airflow within the airduct. Consequently, an experiment will be executed to collect data for further analysis to this matter.
